World Sustainable Transport Day
Move cleaner, move together.
When is World Sustainable Transport Day?
Every year on November 26.
What is World Sustainable Transport Day?
World Sustainable Transport Day on November 26 was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2023 and first observed that year. Transport carries people to work, school and hospitals and goods to markets, but it is also a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution and road deaths. The day promotes safe, affordable and low-carbon options such as public transport, rail, cycling and walking, and better access for rural and poorer communities.
