Pluto Day
Always a planet to us.

When is Pluto Day?
Every year on February 18.
What is Pluto Day?
Pluto Day, observed on February 18, marks the day in 1930 when Clyde Tombaugh at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff identified a moving point of light on photographic plates — the first detection of what was then called the ninth planet. The name was suggested by 11-year-old Venetia Burney in Oxford, and for 76 years Pluto held its place in school textbooks. In 2006 the International Astronomical Union moved it to the new 'dwarf planet' category — a decision still argued over by anyone who learned their solar system before then.
