New Beer's Eve
A good time for a beer.

When is New Beer's Eve?
Every year on April 6.
What is New Beer's Eve?
New Beer's Eve, observed each April 6, is the celebration of the night before Prohibition ended in the United States — the moment when, after 13 years of dry law, Americans queued around the block at their local bars and pubs waiting for 12:01 a.m. on April 7, 1933, when legal beer could flow again. President Franklin D. Roosevelt famously remarked, 'I think this would be a good time for a beer,' and Anheuser-Busch delivered a Clydesdale-drawn carriage of brew straight to the White House. The first 24 hours of legal beer saw an estimated 1.5 million gallons consumed, and the day still invites pub crawls, brewery tours, beer-and-cheese pairings and home-brew experiments in honour of a long-overdue reunion between Americans and their pints.
