International Civil Aviation Day
One sky, shared safely.

When is International Civil Aviation Day?
Every year on December 7.
What is International Civil Aviation Day?
International Civil Aviation Day on December 7 marks the signing of the Convention on International Civil Aviation in Chicago in 1944, which created the International Civil Aviation Organization. The convention set the shared rules that let aircraft from almost every country fly safely through each other's skies. The day was recognised by the UN General Assembly in 1996 and highlights air safety, sustainable aviation and the role of flight in connecting the world.
