Africa Day

When is Africa Day?

Every year on May 25.

What is Africa Day?

Africa Day marks the founding of the Organisation of African Unity in Addis Ababa on 25 May 1963, the body the African Union replaced in 2002. Across the continent and its diaspora it celebrates African unity, independence and culture, and each year the African Union sets a theme for it.
