World Wildlife Conservation Day

When is World Wildlife Conservation Day?

Every year on December 4.

What is World Wildlife Conservation Day?

Wildlife Conservation Day on December 4 was launched in 2012 by then US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who called on the world to fight the illegal wildlife trade. Poaching and trafficking threaten elephants, rhinos, pangolins, tigers and many less famous species, and the trade is often run by organised crime networks. The day encourages people never to buy products made from endangered animals and to support rangers and conservation groups.
