The Masters Tournament
A tradition unlike any other.

When is The Masters Tournament?
From April 6 to April 12.
What is The Masters Tournament?
The Masters Tournament, played the first full week of April at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, is one of golf's four major championships and the only major played at the same course every year. Founded in 1934 by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts — after a first invitational in 1933 — the tournament has been the sport's most tradition-soaked event for more than 90 years. Patrons (not 'fans') watch in silence, cell phones are forbidden, broadcasting is limited to four hours a day, and the previous champion slips the famous green jacket onto the new winner's shoulders. Amen Corner — holes 11, 12 and 13 — has produced more dramatic swings than almost any stretch in golf. The Par-3 Contest on the Wednesday before the main event brings families onto the course.
