National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day on September 18 was launched in 2008 by The AIDS Institute to spotlight the growing population of older adults living with HIV — now over half of all people with HIV in the United States. The day raises awareness of prevention, testing, tailored care, and the long-term survivors whose experiences deserve to be seen.
