International Day of Banks
Finance that builds futures.

When is International Day of Banks?
Every year on December 4.
What is International Day of Banks?
The International Day of Banks on December 4 was established by the UN General Assembly in 2019 and first observed in 2020. It recognises the role of multilateral and international development banks in financing schools, hospitals, roads, clean energy and other projects that countries could not pay for alone. The day is also used to discuss how finance can support the Sustainable Development Goals and help poorer countries cope with debt and climate change.
