Australian Citizenship Day
Many paths. One promise.
When is Australian Citizenship Day?
Every year on September 17.
What is Australian Citizenship Day?
Australian Citizenship Day on September 17 was established in 2001 as part of the centenary of Federation celebrations. Each year communities across Australia host citizenship ceremonies where new citizens take the pledge, alongside school events and gatherings that celebrate the values, rights, and responsibilities of being Australian.
