What is World Philosophy Day?
World Philosophy Day is celebrated by UNESCO on the third Thursday of November. First held in 2002 and made an annual UNESCO day in 2005, it highlights the value of philosophical thinking for questioning assumptions, debating ideas and living together in diverse societies. Universities, schools and cafés around the world host lectures, debates and philosophy workshops for children and adults on the day.
