What is Toronto International Film Festival?
For eleven days each September, Toronto turns into one of the most important stops on the film calendar. TIFF premieres everything from awards-season heavyweights to first features nobody has heard of yet, and audiences rather than juries decide its headline prize. The People's Choice Award has proved such a reliable predictor of Oscar success that the industry watches the vote closely.
