What is Shavuot?

Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks, falls seven weeks after Passover on the 6th of Sivan. It commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and marks the end of the barley harvest and the start of the wheat harvest. Tradition includes an all-night study session (Tikkun Leil Shavuot), dairy meals, the reading of the Book of Ruth, and the decorating of synagogues with greenery.

How to celebrate

Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
