What is Eid al-Fitr (Turkey)?
Eid al-Fitr — called Ramazan Bayramı or Şeker Bayramı (Sugar Festival) in Turkey — marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. It is celebrated for three days with family gatherings, special sweets (especially Turkish delight and baklava), new clothes, and visits to relatives. Children receive gifts and kisses on the hand from elders, who offer candy in return.
