National Tattoo Day
Ink your story on your skin.
When is National Tattoo Day?
Every year on July 17.
What is National Tattoo Day?
National Tattoo Day celebrates the rich history and artistry of tattoos as forms of self-expression. Tattoos have ancient roots — Ötzi the Iceman bore them 5,000 years ago — and appear across cultures from Egypt and China to Polynesia. The day honors that heritage, celebrates modern tattoo artists, and challenges lingering stigma around body art.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
