What is Galway International Arts Festival?
The Galway International Arts Festival transforms the Irish city into a two-week hub of theatre, music, dance, and visual art each July, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors. Performances spill from theatres into public squares and streets. Founded in 1978 by artists including Ollie Jennings and Bill Whelan, it has grown into one of Europe's leading arts events.
