World Cities Day
Better City, Better Life.

When is World Cities Day?
Every year on October 31.
What is World Cities Day?
World Cities Day on October 31 was designated by the UN General Assembly in 2013 and first observed in 2014. The date recalls the closing day of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, whose theme was Better City, Better Life. With more than half of humanity now living in cities, the day is used to discuss housing, transport, climate and how to make urban life fairer.
