Log Cabin Day
Honoring the pioneering spirit, one log at a time.
When is Log Cabin Day?
Every year on June 28.
What is Log Cabin Day?
Log Cabin Day, observed on the last Sunday of June, honors the log cabin as a symbol of early American life and the pioneering spirit. Started in Michigan in 1986 by the Log Cabin Society and Bad Axe Historical Society, it celebrates the craftsmanship and resilience of early settlers through tours, educational programs, and preservation of these historic structures.
