Irish-American Heritage Month
Proud roots, shared story.

When is Irish-American Heritage Month?
From March 1 to March 31.
What is Irish-American Heritage Month?
Irish-American Heritage Month celebrates in March the millions of Americans with Irish roots and the long history of Irish immigration to the United States. Congress designated the month in 1991, and it surrounds St. Patrick's Day on March 17, when cities from Boston to Chicago turn green. Today more than 30 million Americans claim Irish ancestry, and the month brings parades, céilí dances, music and talks about the Great Famine migration that reshaped American cities.
