International Strange Music Day
Listen without prejudice.
Today
When is International Strange Music Day?
Every year on August 24.
What is International Strange Music Day?
Started in 1997 by New York musician Patrick Grant, International Strange Music Day invites everyone to listen without prejudice and explore sounds far outside their usual playlist. Play something unfamiliar, discover a weird new genre, and let curiosity lead your ears.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
