What is UK Armed Forces Day?
UK Armed Forces Day, held on the last Saturday of June, celebrates the entire British military community — serving personnel, reservists, veterans, cadets, and military families. It began in 2006 as Veterans' Day and was renamed and expanded in 2009 to honour the armed forces as an active part of national life. Through parades, family events, and community open houses, the day helps bridge the gap that can form between military and civilian life.
