An ancient new year, still alive.
Today
When is Navasard?
Every year on August 11.
What is Navasard?
Navasard is the ancient Armenian New Year, once marked with music, dance, communal feasts, and athletic games honoring the harvest and the gods. Dating back thousands of years to pre-Christian Armenia, the celebration has been kept alive in modern cultural revivals.
