National Ocean Month
Protect the blue that sustains us.

When is National Ocean Month?
From June 1 to June 30.
What is National Ocean Month?
National Ocean Month in June celebrates the seas that surround the United States and the jobs, food and climate balance they support. America's exclusive economic zone covers about 3.4 million square nautical miles, more ocean than the country has land, and its coasts hold marine sanctuaries from the Florida Keys to Hawaii. The month joins World Ocean Day on June 8 with beach clean-ups, aquarium events and science programmes that invite people to protect the ocean.
