What is National Drive Electric Month?
Most people assume the electric car is a recent idea, when in fact some of the earliest automobiles ever built ran on batteries. Started by Plug In America in 2011 as a single day, this campaign grew into a week and then a full month of test drives, owner meet-ups and community events. The pitch is simple: stop reading about electric cars and go and sit in one.
