What is A Blue Christmas?
A Blue Christmas is an American observance that runs from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve and honours the people who keep working while others celebrate. Police officers, firefighters, nurses, soldiers, shop staff and delivery drivers often spend the holidays on shift and away from their families. The idea is simple: notice them, thank them, and share a little of the season with them, whether through a card, a meal or a kind word.
