What is International Day against Violence and Bullying at School, including Cyberbullying?
The International Day against Violence and Bullying at School, including Cyberbullying, was established by UNESCO's member states in 2019 and is held on the first Thursday of November. UNESCO estimates that almost one in three students worldwide is bullied by peers at least once a month, and much of it now happens online. Schools mark the day with lessons on respect, campaigns that teach bystanders to speak up, and clear ways for pupils to report abuse.
