What is Responsible Dog Ownership Day?
Responsible Dog Ownership Day, observed on the third Saturday of September, was launched in 2003 by the American Kennel Club to spotlight the lifelong commitment of dog ownership. Each year the AKC and partner organisations host training workshops, health clinics, and adoption events; the day is also the centrepiece of Responsible Dog Ownership Month.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
