What is World Religion Day?
World Religion Day, on the third Sunday of January, was first observed in 1950 by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of the United States. Inspired by the Bahá'í teaching of the oneness of religion, it highlights the values that the world's faiths share, such as compassion, honesty and care for others. Today it is marked in many countries with interfaith services, panel discussions and visits between places of worship.
