What is National Beach Day?
National Beach Day, founded in 2014 by animal activist and lifestyle expert Colleen Paige, is a call to clean the places we love most. Beaches nourish millions of outdoor memories — swimming, surfing, sandcastles, picnics, and quiet mornings — yet they degrade under pollution and climate pressure. The day invites everyone to do their part: grab a bag and a few friends, join or organize a beach cleanup, support groups like Surfrider Foundation, Oceana or The Nature Conservancy, and help keep our coastlines beautiful and sustainable for generations to come.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
