International Day of Women in Diplomacy, established by the UN General Assembly in 2022, highlights the vital role women play in international peace and foreign policy. From 1992–2019, women made up just 13% of peace negotiators — yet research shows peace agreements involving women are 35% more likely to last at least 15 years.
