What is Celebrate Shelter Pets Day?
Celebrate Shelter Pets Day honours the dogs, cats and other animals waiting in shelters, and the many adopted pets who once waited there too. Millions of animals enter shelters every year, and adoption gives them a second chance while freeing space for others in need. People mark the day by sharing photos of their adopted pets, donating to a local shelter or meeting the animals available for adoption.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
