Ride the Wind Day
Catch the breeze, chase the sky.
Today
When is Ride the Wind Day?
Every year on August 23.
What is Ride the Wind Day?
Ride the Wind Day marks the day in 1977 the human-powered Gossamer Condor won the Kremer Prize with the first sustained, controlled flight. It celebrates the freedom of flight and every wind-powered joy, from kites and windsurfing to simply chasing a breeze.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
